What are we working on?
-
It begins with research
Enhancing practices and policies require having a solid foundation of evidence to support our mission. Recent studies have found that clinical research that focuses specifically on AANHPI are disproportionately lacking. We are working to produce relevant up-to-date research to inform clinical practices and produce tools for providers to improve mental health care for AANHPI communities.
-
It follows with dissemination and implementation
The transition from research findings to actionable strategies is critical for real-world impact. Dissemination involves sharing our research outcomes with all relevant stakeholders, including mental health professionals, policy-makers, and the broader AANHPI community through various channels, then implementing the insights to improve mental health outcomes.
-
It continues with community involvement
Community involvement is integral to the success of our research and the implementation of its findings. Engaging with the AANHPI communities we serve ensures that our work remains grounded in the real experiences and needs of these populations. Maintaining an open dialogue through community-based participatory research (CBPR) approaches employed to co-create knowledge and interventions
